LU HUANG

 

PhD from the China Conservatory of Music,

PhD from Rutgers University

Lu Huang is an accomplished Chinese soprano born in Chenxi County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Tradition Vocal Music and a Master’s degree in Bel Canto from the China Conservatory of Music, where she mentored by the guidance of internationally renowned soprano Professor Xiuwei Sun.Lu Huang continued her academic pursuits with a Ph.D. in Vocal Performance from China Conservatory of Music Opera Department, mentored by eminent vocal educator and doctoral supervisor Professor Qiuhua Ma. She further expanded her expertise by enrolling at Rutgers University to pursue a second doctoral degree. Mentored by the tutelage of celebrated baritone Professor Eduardo Chama.

 

In her distinguished professional capacity, Lu Huang serves as the Principal Sung Soprano of the China Bamboo Flute Orchestra and a Council Member of the Chinese National Vocal Music Art Research Association. Complementing these roles, she has presented numerous critically acclaimed solo recitals and collaborated with eminent artists such as conductor Xiaoying Zheng, vertical bamboo flute master Weiliang Zhang, and tenor Yuqiang Dai.
