On the evening of June 19, 2019, Quanzhou Normal University sang the colorful chapter of the Chinese Art Song 100 Schools Tour cultural Exchange concert. The concert was performed by Dr. Huang Lu, a young soprano from the China Conservatory of Music, Zhang Huan from the China Conservatory of Music as the artistic director and Liu Qing as the director.

This concert aims to promote Chinese traditional ci music culture and develop modern vocal music art. The repertoire of the concert includes three types of Chinese art songs from ancient, modern and contemporary China. Ancient music such as "Li Xi Mei Ling", modern classics such as "homesick", and contemporary works such as "Guan Sui" and "Jiangchengzi". In the song of Teacher Huang Lu, the audience felt the return to tradition of contemporary composers in their creation and the development of modern transformation and innovation of traditional culture, and experienced the humanistic connotation of the style changes of Chinese poetry music in the past hundred years. After the performance, Dr. Huang Lu and his team received warm and continuous applause from the audience. It is understood that since March, the Chinese Art Song 100 schools tour cultural exchange concert has received invitations from many universities, Dr. Huang Lu and her creative team are also the first time to come to Quanzhou, Dr. Huang Lu said :" In the first historical and cultural city in the country, the famous hometown of overseas Chinese Quanzhou colleges and universities staged Chinese traditional ci music culture and modern vocal art of the combination of Chinese art songs. It has a deeper meaning to carry forward the traditional ci music culture and develop the modern vocal music art."
