The Call of the Ancients is divided into six parts: Overture, Dao, Ren, Fa, Yuan, and Dream, performed by the Chinese Bamboo Flute Orchestra. The performance combines music, opera, martial arts, dance and chanting, integrating visual and auditory experiences, presenting the magnificence and grandeur of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. At the beginning of the performance, the sobbing ocarina sound took the audience back to the ancient times. Afterwards, the ensemble of traditional Chinese instruments such as guzheng, guqin, erhu, flute, etc., sometimes delicate and gentle, sometimes loud and clear, sometimes distant and deep, will be the most beautiful and atmospheric performance of Chinese folk music. Vocal singing by the young soprano Huang Lu perfectly complemented the performance, presenting the vastness and grandeur of the spirit of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism.
