At 7:30 p.m. on July 2, the Academic Exchange Concert of the 100 Schools Tour of Chinese Art Songs was successfully held in Xinzhou Normal College. In this concert, young soprano singer, Dr. Huang Lu of China Conservatory of Music was the soloist, Liu Qing was the conductor and Guo Ziqian was the artistic director.

In the concert, Dr. Huang Lu opened with a classic ancient song “Yang Guan San Yi”, which received enthusiastic applause from the audience. In order to let the audience better experience the development and charm of Chinese art songs, Dr. Huang Lu also performed modern art songs, such as “The Pursuit” and “Sea Love”, as well as classic modern art songs, such as “Jiang Cheng Zi” and “Bodhisattva Barbarians”, in this concert. Among them, the familiar theme song of the TV series “Legend of Concubine Zhen Huan”, “Bodhisattva Barbarians”, was well received by the audience.

Dr. Huang Lu, with her solid singing skills, superb singing style, and drenching performance, enabled the audience to have a close look at the unique artistic charm of the combination of traditional word music culture and modern vocal art, which was appreciated and admired by the audience, who applauded and applauded one after another.

At the end of the concert, under the enthusiasm and expectation of the audience, Dr. Huang Lu returned to the stage, and a return song “On the Waterfront” once again pushed the atmosphere of the concert to a climax. The Chinese Art Songs Concert ended successfully with warm applause. Ms. Xu Yueying, a famous artist from Shanxi, rushed to the scene and expressed her high recognition of Dr. Huang Lu's Chinese Art Song Academic Exchange Concert Tour and sent her blessings to Dr. Huang Lu. The secretary of the School of Music of Xinzhou Normal University gave a high evaluation: “Under the singer's (Dr. Huang Lu) calm and elegant, long rhythmic interpretation, the night breeze, through the bustle, the beauty of the rhyme and rhythm of classical culture, is still in the ears of the undulating and stumbling!”

Dr. Huang Lu said in the interview that this tour has gone through 22 shows, and she will continue to bring Chinese art songs into colleges and universities to do her part for the development of Chinese art songs and bring more wonderful Chinese art song concerts to contemporary college students.
