“Three Wu traveled all the thousands of mountains and water, still Tonglu more clear beauty.” Tonglu has a long history, humanities, known as “the land of the bell spirit, Yuxiu, dashing civilization of the state” reputation. 19:00 on the evening of November 18, the young soprano singer, China Conservatory of Music, Dr. Huang Lu came to Tonglu, Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang University of Commerce and Industry, Hangzhou School of Business teachers and students interpreted the traditional antique, modern classics, contemporary new compositions, twelve art songs of different styles.

The tour is led by young soprano singer, Dr. Huang Lu of the China Conservatory of Music as soloist; young pianist, Zhang Huan, artistic director of the Department of Vocal and Song of the China Conservatory of Music as artistic director; and Liu Qing as conductor.

Dr. Huang Lu opened the concert with the well-known “Yangguan Sanjie”, a bright soprano voice that immediately brought everyone into the world of art songs and the collision of Chinese poetry and music. With the piano accompaniment and the guide, Dr. Huang Lu perfectly interpreted the famous Chinese traditional and cultural songs such as “Jiangchengzi - Remembering Dreams”, “The Home of White Clouds”, and “Bodhisattva Barbarians”, which won a warm applause from the audience.

Dr. Huang Lu sang each piece with unique artistic treatment, perfectly integrating the rigorous precision of vocal works with rich stage experience, showing solid soprano skills and natural and skillful singing techniques. The whole concert was an organic unity of academics, artistry and spectacle. Teachers and students of Hangzhou Business School gave Dr. Huang Lu's singing an enthusiastic affirmation with their applause. Under their enthusiastic call, Dr. Huang Lu returned to the stage to sing an Italian art song “Wandering Moon”, which made the teachers and students present feel the different beauty of Chinese and Western art songs. Finally, the performance ended successfully with flowers and applause from the audience.

After the concert, the students of Hangzhou Business School said that they had a deeper understanding of art songs through this concert, and Dr. Huang Lu's singing really made them feel the charm of art songs. Dr. Huang Lu was also very emotional: “It is a great honor to come to Tonglu and Hangzhou Business School. It has always been my wish to pay tribute to traditional culture with modern innovation and to sing the classics, a deep feeling! I'm very happy that students are willing to listen to the voice of the classics, and I hope that today's concert, which travels through history and reviews the classics, will bring wonderful memories to every teacher and student!”
