Huang Lu, a young soprano singer and doctor of the China Conservatory of Music, brought a concert of traditional Chinese poems to the music-loving audience in Yancheng City on the evening of June 22nd at the Grand Theater of Yancheng City Culture and Art Center. Dr. Huang Lu, a young soprano singer from the China Conservatory of Music, was the soloist, Liu Xiaojiang, associate professor of the China Conservatory of Music, was the conductor, and Zhang Huan from the China Conservatory of Music was the artistic director of the concert, which was a fascinating presentation of a piece of music of Chinese poetry.

Among the songs, “Hairpin Phoenix” and “Bodhisattva Barbarian” were taken from the works of the same name by Chinese poets Lu You and Wen Tingyun. The audience was so applauded and enthusiastic after it was over that Dr. Huang Lu returned to the stage again to sing a song called “Sea Love”.
