On the evening of July 26th and 27th, at 20:00, Dr. Huang Lu, a young soprano singer from China Conservatory of Music, successfully held two Chinese Poetry Concerts at the Baotou Grand Theater in the “Deer City”, the capital of rare earths.

Young soprano Dr. Huang Lu, together with Zhang Huan, Artistic Director of the China Conservatory of Music and a young Chinese piano player, presented traditional Chinese antiques, modern classics and contemporary compositions, such as Silent Night Thoughts, Bodhisattva Barbarian, and Red Bean Lyrics, etc., in the form of chamber music, together with the on-site explanation by the conductor, Liu Qing, which allowed the audience to better feel the compositional mood and artistic beauty of the repertoire.

After the performance, the audience remained enthusiastic, applauding and cheering. In response to the audience's strong calls, Huang Lu returned to sing a song “The Edge of Heaven”, as the return of the evening performance.

Audience members interviewed at the scene said, “The Chinese Poetry Concert, in the form of poems being sung and sung, allows us to appreciate poems from a different perspective, and also gives children who think memorizing ancient poems is boring a new motivation to learn them.”

Another audience member said, “Going to listen to Chinese poetry music allows us to see the noble character of the ancient sages, and the songs give us a lot of inspiration for life.”

It is understood that the night before the tour, Baotou Grand Theatre and Baotou Most Beautiful Book Club jointly organized an interactive exchange of “promoting Chinese word music culture, develop modern vocal art”. Dr. Huang Lu was invited to give a lecture on “Singing Chinese Art Songs”. In addition, Dr. Huang Lu, the vocalist, Zhang Huan, the artistic director, and Liu Qing, the conductor, were interviewed about Chinese poetry music, which was well received by the audience.

Now that the Chinese Poetry Concert Hundred Tour has gone through nearly 30 shows, Dr. Huang Lu will continue to bring Chinese poetry music into all parts of the country to show the charm of Chinese poetry music to the audience and promote the excellent Chinese traditional culture and word music culture!
