A few days ago, the young soprano singer Huang Lu “Chinese Art Songs Concert Tour”, following a successful debut in the Shandong Arts Institute, the second and in Linyi University came to a successful conclusion.

Mr. Xu Chongbo, Secretary of the Party Committee of Linyi University Conservatory of Music, and Mr. Wang Xiuting, Vice Dean (presiding), were present at the concert, and some teachers, students and people from all walks of life at Linyi University came to see the concert.

Liu Xiaojiang, a teacher of China Conservatory of Music, acted as the concert guide, explaining and introducing the concert repertoire and its creative background to the audience. The piano accompaniment of the whole concert was performed by Zhang Huan, a young pianist and artistic director of the Department of Vocal Music and Opera of the China Conservatory of Music.

Huang Lu sang more than ten Chinese art songs, including “Yang Guan San Yi”, “Listening to the Rain”, “Guan Ju”, etc., which involved ancient songs, modern classics and contemporary new compositions, showing the style changes and humanistic connotations of Chinese art songs in the past hundred years.

In the evening, tenor singer Zhou Qiang from China Conservatory of Music, as the guest singer, brought two classic art songs “Teach Me How Not to Think of Him” and “Homesickness Song”, which set off another climax of the concert.

In the applause of the audience, Huang Lu returned to the stage with the song “On the Waterfront”.

Dr. Huang Lu, a vocalist from the China Conservatory of Music, has performed two concerts of Chinese art songs, both of which were highly praised. Huang Lu's singing has made more people feel and understand the charm and value of Chinese art songs. Huang Lu's concert tour has reproduced the rhythms of ancient songs, disseminated recent classics, promoted contemporary new works, improved her singing ability, enhanced her interaction with the audience, strengthened academic exchanges with fellow vocalists, and done her part to popularize and improve Chinese art songs.
